Dear Preschool families,
I have had many questions about the start of the 2020-2021 school year, and I'd like to share with you the information I have from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services on reopening in the fall. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is licensed as a child care center that acts as a preschool. This means we can be open 5 days a week, all day long this fall. The only change that might happen between now and then is class size. If our class sizes are above what the Governor has mandated (right now it is 9 children in a room and our classes average 15 children) then we may have to be creative with how we group all of our currently enrolled students. Some may have to switch to afternoon classes, or we may have to partition some of the rooms. We will have to monitor everyone's health and take temperatures as children arrive. At this time children will not be required to wear masks, although the staff will probably have to wear masks. We will sanitize toys and chairs/tables after each use. I am planning to periodically update you on the status of the transitions happening in child care over the summer so we are all prepared for reopening in August.
If you have questions about the opportunities available to you in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
