Meet Mrs. Sheila

 I have lived in Milford, Ohio for 19 years with my husband, Dave.  We have two teenage boys: Sam, 17,  and Ben, 15.  We are members of St. Andrew Parish and active in the SASEAS school community as well.  After spending 12 years as a Coordinator of Catholic Youth Ministry, working with Jr. and Sr. High youth, I chose to stay home with our boys.  Both of our boys attended Seton Preschool, and once both were in the grade school, I joined the preschool staff as an assistant.  My boys thrived at SASEAS and it was a blessing for me to be more connected to the school community.  I love working with children of all ages, and joining the staff of Seton Preschool has been a blessing for 10 years, hopefully with many more to come. 

 I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in May 1999. I loved working as an Occupational Therapist, primarily in a school setting, for 5 years. I have been married for 19 years to my husband, Jon, and we have been active members of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish since then. Jon is currently serving as a member of the Student Advisory Council(SAC) and the Futures Committee at SASEAS School.  After the arrival of our first child, I was blessed to be able to stay home to raise our children, Noah (18), Hannah (16), Zachary (14), and Andrew (11). All of our children have attended Seton preschool and one is currently still attending our wonderful grade school, Saint Andrew - Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton!

I have been actively involved in both our preschool and grade school community since our oldest first started here in 2007.  I loved teaching and assisting in the growth and development of my own children throughout their early years and have enjoyed carrying over my passion into the preschool setting for the last 6 years!

I am so excited for my first year teaching here at Seton Preschool! I previously taught kindergarten for 7 years, most recently at IHM. I took a few years off to be home with my 2 kids-Isla is 4 and Jude is 2. My husband and I recently joined Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and are looking forward to becoming more involved in the community! I am a huge fan of books and reading, and I love photography and exploring nature. I am so excited to get to know you and your kids this year!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kate. This is my 8th year at Seton Preschool and my third year teaching the 4 year old 5 day class. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Music Education and my Master’s degree from Xavier University in Multi-Age Education. I taught elementary music education for 9 years before deciding to stay home with my daughters. When my youngest daughter graduated from Seton Preschool I was offered a job as an assistant teacher and I have been here ever since! My husband Matt and I met at Miami University on the marching band field and we were married in 2003. Matt teaches music at Deer Park City Schools and is currently the choir director for grade 6-12. My oldest daughter Meredith is a junior at Deer Park High School and sings in her dad’s women’s choir. My daughter Lauren is a freshman at Deer Park High School and is involved with marching band, and my youngest daughter Natalie is going into 7th grade and enjoys musical theater and singing. Lauren and Natalie both attended Seton Preschool and all three girls have attended SASEAS School. I enjoy crafting, quilting, volunteering at various animal shelters, and watching my daughters play volleyball. I have 4 cats (Rosie, Patches, Nacho, and Brutus) and I’m obsessed with planning my next trip to Disney World. I’m so excited to meet everyone and start a fabulous new school year. See you soon! 

Hello! My name is Renata Fuhrman. I am originally from the Czech Republic and have been in the United States over 20 years. June 2018 was a very exciting time for me and my family as I became an American Citizen. My husband, Chris (who grew up in the area), our son Ryan, and I live in Milford. Ryan really enjoyed his 2 years in Seton's preschool classes and our family loved the many creative ways his teachers made learning so much fun. Our family is very excited that Ryan will continue his education this coming year in SASEAS' Fifth Grade. In the years before joining the staff at Seton, it was my job to be a stay-at-home mom. When Ryan was ready to enter school, the opportunity to be part of this parish and awesome school opened for me. My roles have been as a teacher's assistant in classes for both 3 & 4 year olds, as well as working with the Lunch Bunch kids and the afternoon PEDAL program. I love children, and seeing them smile makes me happy and is priceless. I can't wait to meet your little ones and am super excited to learn, play, and explore with them!
