Hello, I am very excited to take the Lead roll in the PEDAL (Preschool Extended Day and Lunch) Program at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool. I live in Milford with my husband Andy, and 2 children, Evan (11) and Ella (9). My family and I love to travel and hike.
I have a Masters in Education and have worked 13 years at Children's Hospital in direct contact with children of all ages where I created and implemented education programs.
In addition to my work experience I also volunteer as a room parent for my children's school, a tutor for Boys Hope Girls Hope, and am an Educator at the Cincinnati Zoo and Cincinnati Nature Center.
I enjoy teaching and the joy that comes from watching children learn and grow.
Hello! My name is Alison Hantak, and I am the lead teacher in the 4 year old 5 day classroom and teach the PEDAL program in the afternoon. I am originally from Kankakee, IL (a small town south of Chicago). I came to Cincinnati to attend Xavier University. I graduated from XU in May of 2003 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation I hoped to stay in Cincinnati and was blessed to find a job at St. Andrew – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School. I taught second grade for fifteen years at SASEAS School. When the opportunity arose to join the Seton Preschool team I was eager to try something new and be part of this wonderful program! While working at SASEAS I returned to XU and earned a Master’s Degree in Reading Education along with a K-12 Ohio Reading Endorsement. As an undergrad at Xavier I met my husband, Neil. We have three energetic boys: 12 year-old Keegan, 9 year-old Griffin, and Riley who will be turning 5 in October. Keegan will be a seventh grader at SASEAS this year, and Griffin will be a fourth grader. Keegan and Griffin both attended Seton Preschool. They had wonderful experiences and were well prepared for Kindergarten. Riley will attend Seton Preschool this year. I love spending time with my family, and they keep me very busy! I feel very blessed to be working with your children, and I look forward to creating an environment where their curiosity and love of learning is nurtured!
Hello! My name is Renata Fuhrman. I am originally from the Czech Republic and have been in the United States over 20 years. June 2018 was a very exciting time for me and my family as I became an American Citizen. My husband, Chris (who grew up in the area), our son Ryan, and I live in Milford. Ryan really enjoyed his 2 years in Seton's preschool classes and our family loved the many creative ways his teachers made learning so much fun. Our family is very excited that Ryan will continue his education this coming year in SEAS' First Grade. In the years before joining the staff at Seton, it was my job to be a stay-at-home mom. When Ryan was ready to enter school, the opportunity to be part of this parish and awesome school opened for me. My roles have been as a teacher's assistant in classes for both 3 & 4 year olds, as well as working with the Lunch Bunch kids and the afternoon PEDAL program. I love children, and seeing them smile makes me happy and is priceless. I can't wait to meet your little ones and am super excited to learn, play, and explore with them!
