This is my fifth year teaching at Seton preschool and my 10th year teaching preschool. After graduating from Ohio University with my bachelors in Early Childhood, I taught at a Catholic school in Dayton. My husband and I moved to Milford in 2017 and I was fortunate to find a teaching position at St. Elizabeth-Ann Seton. In December, I will earn my Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. I love teaching preschool through hands-on, play based, exploratory learning! Preschoolers are amazing and I intend to set them to be confident and curious in school and life. My husband and I have two daughters ( 3years; 16 months) and a big dog. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy starting projects I won't finish, running, and coming up with many reasons to eat chocolate!
I’m very excited and honored to be a part of this group of loving, caring individuals who teach your preschoolers! As a three-year-old class Assistant Teacher, I will do my best to nurture, care for and have fun with your three year olds, such a curious, energetic and lively group.
I grew-up in St. Louis, MO and attended Duke University, graduating with a double major in Chemistry and Economics. Though I love all things science and numbers, I relish any activity involving “arts & crafts” and getting my hands dirty. After three years as a chemical sales representative and back to Duke for a MBA, I spent almost 10 years at P&G in Cincinnati before ‘retiring’ to stay at home with my children. My husband, Ken, and I have four daughters: Mackenzie, a twenty-something lawyer living/working in London at a boutique consulting firm, Addie, a second-year student at The Ohio State University studying biology and computer science, and Vivien and Dana, both of whom are seniors at Ursuline Academy. Of note, the youngest three attended SASEAS, Preschool – grade 8. My family and I have been parishioners of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish for 20 years while living in Loveland. When not assisting in the three-year-old preschool classroom, you can find me volunteering in the community and watching my girls' soccer games. I also love reading, sports of all sorts, the outdoors, gardening and camping.
I’m so excited to begin the school year teaching your wonderful children. Working at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool has been such a pleasure. I graduated from Miami University and have wanted to be a teacher since I was little. We moved to Milford about 10 years ago and love living here. I have 3 children. Maddie is at Ursuline, Wyatt and Elena are both in Seton. They all went though our preschool and had great years there. When I’m not teaching, I like to play board games, watch my girls play volleyball, cook, bake, and love photography.
I am very excited to be a part of your children’s first school experiences. I graduated from Aquinas College where I studied Computer Information Systems, Developmental Psychology and dabbled in Fine Arts. I have three beautiful children who all went/go to SASEAS, I truly enjoy being part of the staff here. I love being creative with your children. I believe that teaching them that learning is fun is one of the most important parts of my job. We are just at the beginning of their education; them enjoying school and learning to be a part of a class is the best foundation for a successful education.
I have lived in Milford, Ohio for 18 years with my husband, Dave. We have two teenage boys: Sam, 16, and Ben, 14. We are members of St. Andrew Parish and active in the SASEAS school community as well. After spending 12 years as a Coordinator of Catholic Youth Ministry, working with Jr. and Sr. High youth, I chose to stay home with our boys. Both of our boys attended Seton Preschool, and once both were in the grade school, I joined the preschool staff as an assistant. My boys thrived at SASEAS and it was a blessing for me to be more connected to the school community. I love working with children of all ages, and joining the staff of Seton Preschool has been a blessing for 9 years, hopefully with many more to come.
